Suvritti, Traversing Creative Energies is a festival featuring the choreographic works of eminent performing artists from around India. The festival is organised by Kalakshetra foundation, Chennai.

The performances on each day will be followed by 45-minutes ‘Conversation with the Artists’ (08.15 pm to 09.00 pm) involving both artists of the day, engaging the rasikas with the artist’s creative process in conceiving and developing their work. Eminent dancers will participate in the festival

Kalakshetra, an autonomous body under Ministry of Culture, Government of India, is a centre for artistic endeavour. Founded in 1936 by the vibrant visionary Rukmini Devi Arundale, the Institution at Chennai, Tamilndu stands testimony to her dream of creating a space where the essence of Indian thought would find expression through artistic education. An institution she established with the vision “of imparting to the young the true spirit of Art, devoid of vulgarity and commercialism.”
